The Carleton University women’s soccer team went to Cuba in February on a coaching mission. Coach Andy Nera and Eduardo Sebrango, a Cuban soccer hero and captain and now a leading scorer with the Vancouver Whitecaps, went with the team. Nera and Sebrango had arranged for the women (some of whom are featured here presenting gifts to local fans) to coach girls and play exhibition games in Spiriti Sanctus, Sebrango’s home city in central Cuba.
